Concrete Patch & Restoration Specialist

Specialist needed to work on finishing and patching manufacturing defects and handling damage in architectural precast concrete. 

  • Use various techniques to correct defects, and match color and finish in architectural concrete with a variety of finishes ranging from acid etch to exposed aggregate.

  • Creative and able to work with issues as necessary.

  • General concrete finishing and forming also part of work responsibility.

  • On the job training is provided, but successful candidates must be have a good understanding of concrete – mixing, patching, finishing and cleaning.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma preferred

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience in concrete patching/restoration preferred.

  • Self-starter with excellent work ethic

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude

Competencies

  • Maintain high level of safety at all times

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment

  • Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays

  • Able to work unsupervised, motivated to complete all tasks

  • Able to communicate, and work well with others in a team environment

Sandblast & Finish Specialist

The sandblaster/finisher position is required for one of the final stages of precast concrete production. This individual will be required to use sandblastings and power washing techniques to finish precast elements. The applicant must have a good eye for consistency. Knowledge of compressors and sandblasting techniques is required.

  • The right candidate will have blasting experience with sand, glass or water, on pre-cast concrete panels.

  • Ability to operate various power hand tools such as grinders, drills, and saws.

  • Reliable transportation to work and outstanding attendance. 

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma preferred

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience sandblasting preferred.

Plant Associate

Primary responsibility is to assist in the forming fabrication, finishing or repair of precast concrete products by working with wood, metal and concrete materials while using a variety of hand and power tools or other equipment. 

Tasks could involve any combination of duties and responsibilities that may include but not be limited to:

  • Perform daily activities as directed by the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, Lead Personnel, Management and/or other Supervisory personnel.  Those activities could include: Installing and/or removing forming materials, prepping beds for forming, assist in setting up the casting beds, assist in installing embedded items or block-outs, assist in pulling cable, assist with the installation of or tying rebar according to layouts and plans.

  • Assist with cutting cable, removing blockouts, forms and other embedded items.

  • Sand, scrape, grind and clean beds or molds as the product is removed and preparation for next pour.

  • Apply form oil / bond breaker as directed and while keeping a quality product in mind.

  • Stack, carry and arrange materials as directed.

  • Assist with casting products as directed and may include scooping, vibrating, screeding or other jobs as directed during the casting process.

  • Assist with apply sealer or other finishing material or by installing embedded items as directed.

  • Assist in cleaning up tools, work area and/or the plant at the end of each shift or during shift as the work schedule will permit.

  • Additional duties as assigned by Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, Lead Personnel, Management and/or other Supervisory personnel.
